Kitty Pryde has always been one of my favorite X-Men characters, and easily one of my favorite female characters in any comic book. She's the geeky girl next door who stood trained under Wolverine and fought off The Brood, Magneto, and while in Excalibur, everything Alan Davis and Chris Claremont could throw at her.
She supposedly died a few years back in the final chapter of Joss Whedon's 25 part epic Astonishing X-Men story. Like every other comic character, death is just another chapter in the middle of their ongoing story. Marvel is planning on bringing her back in a couple of months, and released a trailer for those curious enough!
Would I be able to purchase that 25 part epic by Joss Whedon at your store? :)Not right now, but as soon as I come back from my Boston trip.
ReplyDeleteKitty Pryde was referenced in this month's Buffy, fyi, as a jab to Joss' work.
Yeah, you can get it in 4 TPBs or 2 HCs. Both will run you about the same amount.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite great! The end is amazing (and sad).
What are you doing in Boston?
Oh great, thanks! I'm a TPB girl.
ReplyDeleteAs for Boston, I'm going to see Norah Jones at the Wang theater! :)
I am glad they are bringing Kitty back. She was always a great gateway character for the reader and I thought Joss used her very effectively that way when he started the series. I wasn't a big fan of the ending but having her back will soften my opinion of it a little.
